American car hailing app company Uber is reportedly setting up a global customer service center in the Philippine capital of Manila, according to a BuzzFeed News report.
The said customer service center has been dubbed by Uber as a “Center of Excellence”. It will house a team of customer support representatives and several people managers.
If the report is true and indeed Uber is building out a global customer service center in Manila, it will become one of the eight new or newly announced centers around the world.
According to BuzzFeed News, Uber already has centers in Phoenix, Arizona; Chicago, Illinois; Hyderabad, India; Krakow, Poland; Wuhan, China; Limerick, Ireland; and San Jose, Costa Rica.
In Manila, the ride-hailing firm has posted job listings for managerial positions, icluding a human resource manager, a site leader, and an account manager.
In an interview with BuzzFeed News, a company spokesperson said more US and international facilities are planned as the company continues to invest in expanding world-class, efficient support for its global community of riders and drivers. – BPONewsDaily.com
